Tanya Woods (BA, LLB, LLM, LLM) is the Founder and Chief Impact Officer at Kind Village Inc, a social enterprise technology firm leveraging advanced technologies to engage, inspire and inform local communities globally on their non-monetary impacts. Tanya serves in leadership and strategic advisory roles for the Chamber of Digital Commerce Canada, the Ontario Securities Commission Fintech Committee, Kids Code Jeunesse, and the International Standards Organization Sharing Economy Committee. She is a four time founder and has held senior level positions in industry representing national and multinational organizations in the telecommunications, technology and entertainment sectors, including BCE Inc., Microsoft and Nintendo. She has also a trade negotiator and advisor to the Government of Canada on social innovation, digital skills, future of work, and digital trade challenges. Tanya is a global public speaker and published author and has been named as a leading "TechWomen in Canada” by the Government of Canada, a “Trailblazer” by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, a “Top 40 under 40” in Canada’s Capital, and a Global Civic Leader by the Obama Foundation. She studied law at the London School of Economics, Ottawa University and American University Washington College of Law.
