Stuart (Stu) Ogawa is a visionary leader with a career spanning over 25 years in the Valley with experience growing VC, PE and pre / post public companies involving big data and AI product innovations for SaaS businesses. Most recently, while Senior Director at Bill Holdings, Inc. (Bill.com), he led and operationalized the data science and engineering team to grow revenue and developed the “Bill Bloomberg Terminal” that incorporates generative AI into their technology stack to synthesize insights. As CTO at Sysomos and Marketwired, he was responsible for setting the direction of the product roadmaps. Stu scaled one of the world's largest social analytic platforms (1.2T edge social graph), growing subscription revenue to $90M. Stu also served as VP, of Business Intelligence at Yahoo! Inc. in Santa Clara, California, where he led a team of 180-plus people overseeing Big Data platforms to drive $1B+ search ad revenue through the Yahoo!/Microsoft Search Alliance. During his tenure he received The SuperStar Team Lead Award, one of the highest Yahoo! awards given to employees. Prior to that, Stu was recruited to Teradata prior to its IPO, where he led a 275-person organization as its General Manager, VP of Applications. This organization built and delivered Big Data and analytic applications for the Global 1000. He also founded two SaaS start-ups, including a financial information exchange and a digital health service that uses an AI chatbot. Beyond his corporate achievements, Stu actively contributes to the AI community. He is an executive sponsor and lecturer at Stanford University and University of Chicago and mentors aspiring data scientists.
