My name is Alisha Arora - I am a 17 year old UNICEF Youth Ambassador from Toronto passionate about mental health and technology. My dedication to supporting youth wellbeing started when a student in my middle school suicided 13 minutes after tweeting about feeling lonely. Since then I made it my mission to leverage AI and Machine Learning to detect suicidal ideation in social media content. I am building an AI model with the support of Microsoft which is yet to be patented, that is focused on supporting youth mental health. I also serve as the youngest researcher at MIT's AI lab for mental illness research.
