FAQs

How does COVID-19 impact Big Data and AI Toronto?

Big Data and AI Toronto is going hybrid! In addition to postponing the event to September 28-29, 2020, the in-person event will be fully replicated online. Attendees, speakers, and exhibitors can choose to attend in-person or virtually. The in-person event will closely follow the guidelines from public health officials by adopting severe physical distancing measures and increasing methods of prevention and sanitization involved in the event (including badge pick up, booth placements, food & beverage, conference room and theatre capacity). Should an in-person event not be possible, then our team is fully prepared to take the event 100% virtual.

WHERE AND WHEN?

  • September 29-30, 2020.
  • The in-person event will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building, located at 222 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON M5V 2T6
  • The virtual event can be accessed on September 28-29 through your desktop and mobile, from the comfort of your home

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT BEGIN?

Registration opens at 7:00am and opening remarks begin at 8:30am. The rest of the Expo and Conference sessions begin staggered throughout the day.

DO I NEED TO RESERVE MY SEAT IN THE CONFERENCE ROOMS?

  • The in-person event will decrease the capacity of the theatres and conference rooms to abide by physical distancing measures. We recommend you arrive to your designated session 15 minutes before it starts.
  • The virtual event will guarantee attendance to all sessions as capacity will be unlimited

Do I need to register for a virtual pass to access the online event?

  • If you’ve registered for a conference pass or an expo pass already, then you will automatically receive access to the virtual event
  • If you haven’t registered yet, then you will need to register to any pass to get access (whether a hybrid or virtual pass)
