Dariane Hunt is SVP; Design Director for the Artificial Intelligence team at Bank of America where she has worked for the past 12 years. She is currently leading the team responsible for designing the user experience for Erica, the bank’s first AI powered voice- and chat-based digital financial assistant.
Prior to working on Erica, she was a Strategic Design Lead on the Future State Design Team building partnerships across enterprise channels and product segments to help shape future experiences, from a Bank of America Alexa skill to Financial Wellness calculators. She also spent two years as Portfolio Lead on the Edge Sales site and is always on the lookout for ways to integrate banking and brokerage to better serve the financial lives of our customers.
Previously, she was the Founder of EyeArchitect, an interaction design consultancy, working with clients ranging from Edward Tufte to The American Museum of Natural History. She has worked for over 17 years on user interaction and experience design, concept prototyping, and strategy, drawing from a broad set of design processes and adapting them to the needs and objectives of individual clients, projects, teams, and in one instance an orangutan sanctuary in Borneo!
She has a Master’s Degree from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and a Bachelor’s Degree from Hamilton College where she majored in Asian Studies and Chinese. She holds 2 patents with 5 patents pending for various financial UI systems at the Bank.
She currently lives in Concord, MA where she is on the leadership team of the local chapter of Mothers Out Front, a climate change action group focused on helping local communities transition away from fossil fuels and toward clean and renewable energy.
